I am always looking for good business cards, business cards that stand out from the others. I guess I am looking for something that matches my personality and who I am. But so many business cards that I have had in the past were thin and flimsy. Then the edges bend over and separate. Leaving the cards looking tatty and I am embarrassed to hand them out. So that lead me to order business cards from Aura Print.

I wanted some business cards that would look professional, classy and held all of the information that I needed them to, without looking too crowded. I wanted some cards to show my personality as well as showcase my business. We were gifted these business cards from Aura Print in exchange for an honest review. The images below may look slightly blurry, but it is the pearlescent card that they are printed on. They look perfect in real life. You will not be disappointed.

Choosing Your Design

Firstly you need to think about which design that you want on your business cards. With Aura Print, you can upload your own design or get someone to design them for you from a brief. Designing your own business cards is really easy to do on a website like Canva. It is free to use basic Canva and there are plenty of templates to choose from and adapt as your own. I designed mine on Canva Pro and sent in the design to the website. Designing your own makes them so much more personal.

If you don’t have the time, or you are not very creative on the computer, you can get someone from Aura Print to design them for you and it is only a few quid more.

Making Your Cards Stand Out

You want people to remember your business, so you don’t even need to stick to the normal size and shape of business cards. Think about what makes you different to a competitor. Look at how you can look more of a premium brand against your competitors.

Single Or Double Sided?

Single-sided cards are okay, if you don’t need to put much information on them, then people can see all your details in one go. But I prefer a two-sided business card. Then you can have a picture on the front with the main information that you need to share. Then on the back of the business card, you can put more details about your business.

You get to choose when you order business cards from Aura Print, the single-sided cards are slightly cheaper. It really is a personal choice. I have blocked my phone number out on the cards below, but these are double sided cards.

I chose the pearlescent paper, it adds a shimmery finish to your business cards. If you are anything like me, Shimmery and shiny is a good thing. The thickness is 580 gsm, which equates to about 0.67 mm. If you think about normal printer paper being 80 gsm, then you can imagine how thick the business cards are. They are definitely not going to bend easily and the corners should last longer.

The different card materials will be different prices on the website, but as you design your cards, the cost tallies up on the side of the page.

How Do You Want The Edges?

If you have the same problem as me and the edges of your business cards tend to bend and get tatty, then you can choose rounded corners. They make your business cards from Aura Print look different, and will protect them. You can even choose to have only one or two rounded corners.

What We Thought

There is nothing to not like about these cards. They will be delivered within a few days of your cards being approved by you. They are easy to order and it is a step by step instructions as you go through the process. I love that there are so many different types of business cards to choose from.

As you custom design your cards, the price tallies up on the side of the screen, so you can keep within your budget. If you do struggle to design your cards on the Aura Print website, you can call and ask them for some help. My cards would have cost £54.95, so it works out at 22p each. Which is a really good price, for advertising your business and also for getting work for your business. These cards were thicker than normal cards and are going to last longer than previous cards that I have had before.

The pearlescent card is absolutely beautiful, it adds something different to your business card, and the pearlescent shimmer is also on the back of the cards as well as the front. Business cards are not what they used to be, Aura Print have bought them into 2021. I am looking forward to attending a blogging conference next week and handing my cards out. The cards arrive in a plastic box for storage, so they will stay dust free and looked after until you need to use them.
