Get In Shape For The Summer

I know it doesn't seem like the summer is going to be in a couple of months because we have been stuck in an eternal winter for about 2 years, but it really is upon us and we need to start thinking about being in the sun and showing off our body. It's a good time now to start to think about ways to get better skin, here in this blog post, we have some tips on how to get a healthier look to your skin and in turn, this makes your body healthier too.

Get enough sleep, if you don't get your full quota of sleep then you not only feel tired the next day but it shows on your skin too. it is when you're asleep that your body repairs itself, so getting 7 or 8 hours sleep is important.

Drink Water! I am the first to put my hand up and say that I don't drink enough water, you're supposed to drink about 2 litres a day which I don't reach. But drinking water will help to keep your body functioning properly as well as hydrating your skin. When you have more water in your skin, then you will notice it isn't as dry as it was and if you don't drink enough water, then your skin feel tight and that's when it can start to irritate you.

Stop Smoking! This prematurely ages your skin and you look so much older than you really are. Not a good look when you want to get your body out in the sun. Switching to vaping is a good alternative if you can't completely give up smoking. It is even easier if you have an app that coaches and encourages you along the way. Ayrlabs can provide you with the full package to help you to give up smoking, you get a very sleek looking vapouriser that recharges and refills itself as well as the app to support you along the way. You can even see how much you have vaped in a session.
Watch your stress levels. If you are stressed it is only natural that your whole body is going to be affected. I have noticed that when I am stressed, I look so much older than my 45 years. I see wrinkles develop before my eyes. If you are stressed too, mentally you can't be bothered to look after your skin, this is where it all starts to go downhill.

Change your environment! Okay this one isn't really that easy to do, is it? But have you noticed how much better your skin feels when you are on holiday? This is because we are relaxed and not stressing about anything. If you can't completely change your environment, then try and relax more, take up yoga. or something.

Cleanse and Tone. You can cleanse more than your face, you can cleanse and tone your whole body. If you do this it is going to get rid of all of the rubbish in your skin. make sure that you use the skin cleanser and toner that matches your skin type, otherwise, there will be no effect at all. Using a micellar water is becoming a very popular way to cleanse as its gentle on your skin. If you're in a rush, there is also the option of facial wipes - these are fantastic time savers.

Sun exposure. This is a sure way to get ageing skin, without us even realising. No matter what time of the year it is, the sun is still there and even on the cloudy days, we often think that there is no sun coming through but it is still there and we need to use a sun protection all year round on our face. Our face skin is so delicate, so let's look after it. You can buy a moisturiser for your skin with an SPF that is going to help you protect your skin. Remember to also use a proper SPF in the summer, because you only apply a day cream once a day and that isn't enough in the sun.

What do you eat? Eating junk food is okay sometimes, but eating it all the time means that you're putting rubbish into your body and it isn't going to help your skin, think of all of the excess salt in the ready-made meals or the grease from the fast food. That's going to all have a detrimental effect on your skin.
