A Visit To Amsterdam With Hilton Hotels

So here we are one more sleep until we head off to the airport to embark on our European trip! We can't really call it a holiday because to me a holiday would be no alrams set and a sunny relax om a beach somewhere! So we are going on an adventure (more exciting in Tilly's mind). We have many cities on our must do list and one of them is Amsterdam, a place I have never been.
Growing up as a child in Germany, we always made trips to The Netherlands - but never Amsterdam

I know of many adults that have been to Amsterdam, but not many of my friends have taken their kids there, I think it has the label of sex and drugs but iit is a beautiful city to visit and there are many places to visit with children. The reason we decided to take Tilly was because of the many museums for us to visit, I am a big believer in kids learning more as they travel. There is only so much that you can learn in a classroom, So to see this city will be an amazing experience for Tilly and I. Everything is walking distance in the city and within half an hour we can be in the country visiting tulip fields and windmills. There is something different for us to do everyday! Staying in the centre is important to many families for convenience and then there is no travelling involved in the city. After all who would want to spend time travelling? especially when you can have it all on your doorstep.

We actually haven't booked our Amsterdam accomadation yet but we have looked at several through travel websites and reviews (always read reviews before you stay somewhere) The choice of hotels in Amsterdam are often aimed at adults only, with a handful perfect for children. So there really was no option for us but to look for a family friendly hotel. We found a few but one that stuck out was DoubleTree By Hilton because it is right next to Amsterdam Central station, perfect for getting off the train and checking in. This hotel has a relaxed atmosphere which is perfect for your family and there is even a toy area for them to play in, whilst you relax. There is also a cafe on site for a more informal dinner setting and they have kids menu's too. It makes meals so much easier when there is food that the kids will love. To top the experience off there is the Sky Lounge on the 11th floor, perfect for the best views of Amsterdam.

Amsterdam is one of the more expensive places we will be staying in Europe, but the price of staying in the DoubleTree Amsterdam is actually very good compared to the other hotels. You can stay there for as low as 241 Euro's for a suite for the night, and at the moment there is a sale on where you can save 25% on some of their hotels.,
