SAILING INTO CHRISTMAS WITH SANTA LINE

Ho Ho Go to Ireland by ferry and save over £1200!

This Christmas the staff at Santa Line have been checking the prices of sailing to Ireland rather than Flying and the comparrison is so good that you could actually save £100's. Christmas is an expensive time of the year so every bit of saving helps, so with Santa line doing the comparrison for you, it saves time and money. Now is a great time to get in a trip before Christmas to make those duty free savings and take in some of the Dublin atmosphere.
Orla Noonan, Head of Travel, Irish Sea, Santa Line, said: “Taking the ferry to Ireland is much more affordable and offers better value for money than flying at Christmas and this price comparison proves that. Our fares, which start from as little as£79* single for car and driver, are part of that reason but our no baggage charges really help people to make savings.”

Stena Line has completed three ferry versus flight comparisons, based on two adults and two children with four pieces of hold baggage, that offer travel options from Liverpool and north or south Wales.

The first flight comparison departs from Cardiff to Dublin on December, 19 returning on December, 28, and costs £1321.84^and the second, using the same date range, flies from Liverpool to Dublin at a cost of £1613.92^, both with a major airline compared to £384^ when travelling with Santa Line by car from Holyhead to Dublin Port – a massive saving of between£937.84 and £1229.92.

The next comparison departs on December, 18 and returns on December, 29, flying from Cardiff to Cork and costs£583.92^ with a major airline compared to £404^ when travelling with Santa Line by car from Fishguard to Rosslare – a massive saving of £179.92.

When you travel by car, you don't have to worry about the amount of luggage you take, the weight of your luggage and hiring a car when you arrive in Ireland.

As you can see we are sailing ahead in value-for-money terms plus travelling by ferry is a far more relaxing experience”, continued Orla. “There is lots of space and open areas to explore, a cinema, great shopping and dedicated children’s areas to keep little elves happy. Let’s be honest, airports can be a real nightmare at Christmas - who wouldn’t want to avoid the never-ending queues, followed by a journey in a confining seat which can be stressful, especially when travelling with kids.”

Santa Line even has its very own child-friendly festive App, explained Orla: “Our customers can win prizes as they sail to their destination with our first ever App, ‘Santa Line Treasure Hunt’ which the kids will love. Plus, our onboard shop offers huge savings for any last-minute gifts of up to 50%* off across many quality lines when compared to the high street on cosmetics, perfumes and aftershaves.” Orla concluded: “Our sailings are filling up fast but there is still time to book so Ho Ho Go to our website as soon as possible to get the times and dates you prefer.”
