We do enjoy eating out when we can afford to do so, one of the places we enjoy a family meal is at a Brewers Fayre. whether it is The Monkey Puzzle in Farnborough or Duke Of Yorks in Kent, we enjoy the choice of food and the themed buffet evenings. They offer fabulous value and a wide range of menu choices, even for customers with dietary requirements.

There are 12 tasty dishes available which include a wide range of traditional pub classics, such as Hand Battered Fish and Chips, Gammon Steak and Sausage and Mash, which are perfect for an everyday treat. So when we were invited to The Promonade, The brewers Fayre in Margate we were delighted. We were there to experience the new Beano-themed area. The menu offers great value exclusive meals, which includes favourites such as the Menace Burger and Spaghetti Beano-ese for just £3.99. Tilly loved her Beano-ese and it was such a healthy option for her.

The General Manager of Promenade Brewers Fayre pub restaurant added: "We're incredibly pleased to have launched our new 'Play At Brewers Fayre' area this summer. We're looking forward to welcoming more families through our doors to enjoy the new facilities which are also perfect for kids parties"

So What did we think?

When we arrived, we were shown to our table and we put our bags down whilst Tilly spied the play area, and off she went! She was given a wrist band once she entered, each child is given one so they can go backwards and forwards between the restaurant and the play area.

She was off - straight into the play area, climbing, sliding and jumping about. The play area was colourful and organised, even the carpet had a Dennis The Menace theme. There were no balls in the soft play area, something as a parent I actually was glad to see as I feel they are a breeder of germs. She went into the party room where they had face painting and arts and crafts.

Once she had run around enough she needed a drink, in the play area there was a little tuck shop where she could get a drink. They sell a small variety of snacks and a huge variety of drinks.

Our meals were bought to our table, I chose Smothered Chicken and Tilly had Spaghetti Beano-ese. Tilly's eyes lit up at her meal, accompanied with garlic bread. Definitely a winner with her! We both enjoyed our meals and then we chose desserts, I had chocolate cake and cream whilst Tilly had a chocolate sundae. I actually thought her eyes were going to pop out of her head when she saw the sundae. She didn't even leave a drop in the sundae glass and the ice cream evidence around her mouth showed she enjoyed it.
