#Healthyprotein, Kickstart Your New Year With Mo Farah And His Healthy Recipes And Competition

Its January, so that normally means one thing - Its time to eat healthily again, We have all the best intentions to eat proper foods again and as its only january we are usually full of new years resolutions. Did you know that Quorn food is really really good for you if your trying to eat healthily or diet?
Quorn has been around for a long time now and is really popular with Vegetarians. Quorn products are made from Mycoprotein. which is a nutritionally healthy protein source that is naturally low in fat, high in fibre and most importantly meat free. Quorn meat is just like eating meat, it has the same consistency, taste and looks like meat. Who else would be better to tell us about the health benefits of Quorn that the man himself - Mo Farah

Sometimes when you buy Quorn foods from the cold food or freezer section of your supermarket, its hard to find inspiration for a healthy meal, but this is where www.Quorn.co.uk comes into your life! You will find healthy nutritious and exciting recipes for you to follow in the comfort of your own home. Tonight we made Spanish Sausage Casserole - always a favourite in our house especially in the winter, its almost like a comfort food.
Tilly is getting to the age now where she wants to help to cook and she wants to experiment with food, Tilly helping in the kitchen is a good way for her to see what goes into her dinner and how healthy it is, and I find that if she helps make her dinner, she is more likely to eat it.

Making Spanish Sausage Casserole is so simple, Tilly chopped the sausages and the peppers, whilst i took control of the other bits. We adapted the recipe slightly and popped it in the oven to cook, rather than use pan to cook it in. I wanted to demonstrate that you can prepare this meal in the morning before work or your busy day and just pop it in the oven when you get home. You could even pop it in the slow cooker on low
whilst your out for the day and later come home to a real winter warmer, ready to eat. The full recipe is found  here and it cost only
£7.00 to cook for a family of 4 (that included buying the smoked Paprika, which we will now keep for the next time we make it).

As you can see the finished result looks just like a regular sausage casserole but with more protein and less fat! All the fun of food but healthy! Its a great way to get kids to eat the vegetables and Quorn!

The People from Quorn have given us 5 vouchers to spend on Quorn products, so you can try some recipes from the website yourself. All you need to do is watch the video and answer the question.

The winner will be announced on facebook and Twitter after the 30th January
