Bake your own boyfriend *Review*

When the people from www.niion.uk.com asked me to try out and review bake your own boyfirend cookie cutter, i thought we could have a bit of fun! Ladies are always complaining about not being able to find the perfect man, so why not create your own?

It arrived pretty fast and when i took it from the packet, i found it was thick and sturdy. so i knew it wasnt going to break (i am a bit clumsy at times). It is made Food grade plastic, injection moulded.

Add a little bit of icing to turn these tasty treats into the perfect man for you, for example add glitter, tattoo, a string vest etc.…and if he starts to cause trouble, bite his head off and start again!

These are perfect for hen nights, girlie weekends away and stocking fillers at christmas. it even comes with a recipe printed on the back, for you to follow, although. I made a biscuit dough from the following ingredients and rolled it out onto the board.

250g chilled unsalted butter, chopped
2 cups (300g) plain flour
3/4 cup (165g) caster sugar
1 egg

i popped the dough in the fridge for half an hour and popped the oven on to 180 ready to warm up in  preparation for cooking. Then you remove the dough from the fridge and roll it out on the work surface. I would make sure there is plenty of flour on the surface because the dough will stick, making it hard to lift up the man in one piece. The cutter was really easy to use and cut right through the dough with no problem and the shape kept in place, i have made cookies before where the shape cutter has moved, and then your cookie loses it shape! this was not a problem here.

We popped them in the oven for 12 -15 minutes, maybe a bit longer for thicker ones. i found it easier to make the biscuits a bit thicker as it made it easier to pick them up without losing their shape.

When they are cooked, leave them to cool for a little while. If you try to take them off the baking tray before they cool down, they will break.

before long they are Ready to eat :)

We also wanted to have more fun with the cutter so we tried it on bread and made toast in the shape of the perfect boyfriend, although his legs bent in the toaster and i think we killed him :(
