Spa Day Thursday

We all know that we need to look after our skin and we all know how expensive it can be at times so we often put off having to buy the things we need to help maintain our supple skin, so every thursday i have decided to have a spa day where i will add as much as possible natural cures for our problems and home made beauty products for things that we would often buy as a luxury. I will also post any offers i find in my job as i work in a famous British Drug store and often we go shopping and we miss the bargains in store.

So here is todays home made recipes for problems involving feet :

Avacado skin softner


1 Avacado Pit
1/2 Avacado
1/4 cup of oatmeal/porridge oats
1 Tablespoon of salt (15mls)

To Make

  • Dry out the Avacado pit for a few days and then break into small pieces

  • grind the pit down in a coffee grinder or similar

  • take the skin off the avacado and put to one side, mash the avacado and oatmeal with 50 mls of the ground avacado pit and salt

To use

  • With your feet in a bowl, gently massage the mixture into your feet, starting with your toes
  • Massage into the balls of your feel in a circular motion, working around all the little bones
  • Massage and stroke the arches
  • using more pressure work it into the heel and outer foot as this is where your feet are drier and more likely to crack

  • Rinse with tepid water
  • with the inner sticky side of the skin, rub it into your heel and any other rub areas (you can also rub it into your hands and elbows) but do not wash off

  • At first you may find your skin is slightly green but just keep rubbing it in and you will soon feel the abrasive benefits and then the moisturing benefits
