Emil and the Detectives
Yesterday i received an email to say i had won a family ticket to a preveiw showing of Emil and the Detectives, showing at The National Theatre in London.
I am most excited to be taking Tilyy to see this because its an old fashioned story and i think the old stories seem to be dying out.
The story is set in Berlin in the 1920s and it see's Emil leaving his mother and setting of on a journey that seems to be full of adventures. On the train all his things are stolen by a mysterious stranger and he sets off to track the thief down. He soon finds he isnt as alone as he thinks when people help him along the way. Emil soon learns to rely on himself as well as his new friends.
This show is taking place at The National Theatre, which is conveniently situated in Southbank along the river Thames. Southbank is one of our favourite places in London because its the home of The London Eye, The Aquarium and The london Dungeons. So we will make a brilliant day out and its conveniently situated between London Waterloo Station and London Charing Cross as well as good bus and Tube connections.
To say we are excited is an understatement. And we would like to thank The National Theatre and WTDWTK for the opputunity to go to this.
WTDWTK is a fab website offering days out, vouchers and competitions - well worth a good look as you never know, you could be a winner like me :)
